The Rheem RP16 Heat Pump is part of the Rheem heat pump product line that extends from 14 to 20 SEER. This highly featured and reliable heat pump is designed for years of reliable, efficient operation when matched with Rheem indoor aluminum evaporator coils and furnaces or air handler units with aluminum evaporators. Our unique composite base reduces sound emission, eliminates rattles, significantly reduces fasteners, eliminates corrosion and has integrated brass compressor attachment inserts. Furthermore it has incorporated into the design, water management features, means for hand placement for unit maneuvering, screw trays and inserts for lifting unit off pad.

The Rheem/Ruud RH2V Air Handler includes an energy efficient ECM Motor, which in most applications, enhances the SEER rating of the outdoor unit. It also slowly ramps its speed up for quiet operation and enhanced customer satisfaction. The Rheem/Ruud RH1V comes in a versatile 4-way convertible design for upflow, downflow, horizontal left and horizontal right applications. Also, it has a nominal airflow up to 1.0 external static pressure. It comes with a factory-installed indoor coil.

SEER Ratings:
SEER ratings are given by the AHRI to matched systems of HVAC equipment. The SEER of a system is based on the combination of all parts of the system together. In many cases the rating of the complete system will be higher than one individual component (ie the heat pump). For example, a 13 SEER heat pump when matched with a certain air handler will become a 14 SEER complete system. This is very common and not an error in the listing.
