EAPG Antique Elson "HERO" Clear Glass Tankard Water Pitcher RUBY ROSETTE

Description

Offered for your consideration is a clear glass tankard style water pitcher made by the Elson Glass Company (1882-1893) in their "Hero" pattern. Also known as "Ruby Rosette", this pattern was introduced in 1891.
The pitcher measures 12.5 inches (31.8 cm) tall, 4.25 inches (10.8 cm) in diameter at base, and roughly 7 inches (17.8 cm) from outer edge of handle to end of spout.
This pitcher is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable roughness, nor repairs. There are faint surface scratches, and light wear on bottom of base. Pitcher is used so there may be other minor indications of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There are bubbles within the glass, and there may be a shear (straw) mark and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
