The Buster Keaton Show
, which was broadcast live on a local Los Angeles station. In 1951 an attempt to recreate the first series on film as
Life with Buster Keaton
(1951), to allow the program to be broadcast nationwide, was less well received. Keaton said he canceled the filmed series himself because he was unable to create enough fresh material to produce a new show each week.
The Buster Keaton Show was Keaton's second foray into the new medium of television. It followed the 1949 one-off
The Buster Keaton Comedy Show
. Broadcast live, no record of that first program remains and it was not seen by viewers outside California, as it was not filmed in
kinescope
nor was there a coaxial cable
linking the coasts, at that time.

This 2 DVD collection comes in a hardshell plastic case with series description and artwork. All episodes originally were recorded from original film prints, NOT recorded off broadcast TV. These are custom made DVDs, not available commercially.
All DVDs come with menus with episode titles for easy episode access

PUBLIC DOMAIN
and were custom recorded to DVD for the best quality. this is not a retail set or a copy of a retail set as NO retail release of these episodes is available.

BEWARE OF THOSE WHO CLAIM "NEW" QUALITY ON A COLLECTOR SET.... Ask if it is 'factory new' if you are unsure.
