This auction is for an original 1942 Day Player production contract between Samuel Goldwyn Inc. and
Natasha Lytess (mispelled as "Natasha Lytes"). This contract was for her part as a, Maid, in the 1943 film titled, THEY GOT ME COVERED. This Day Player contract was for several filming days starting on December 11, 1942.
It is hand signed on the bottom by the artist,
Natasha Lytess. It was signed in pencil.

Natasha Lytess
(born 16 May 1911, Berlin, Germany – died 12 May 1963, Zurich, Switzerland) was an actress, writer and drama coach.
Born Natalia Postmann and also known as Tala Forman, she had studied with the director Max Reinhardt and appeared in the repertory theater. She is said to have had a relationship with the writer Bruno Frank, who is also said to be the father of her daughter Barbara, born in 1943.
When the Nazis came to power, and in light of her Jewish heritage, she moved to the United States and settled down in Los Angeles. She had hoped for a great stage career, but her accent and her unfeminine appearance limited the roles she could play.
Among her acting credits were appearances in Comrade X (1940), Once Upon a Honeymoon (1942), and The House on Telegraph Hill (1951). Her performance in Once Upon a Honeymoon drew praise from New York Times critic Bosley Crowther, who said she "shines with clear and poignant brilliance in a brief part as a Jewish chambermaid."
Other Lytess students included Mamie Van Doren, Virginia Leith, and Ann Savage (who reputedly got her stage name after a particularly "savage" argument with Lytess).
Lytess is known best for her partnership with actress Marilyn Monroe from 1948 to 1956. During her time as a drama coach for Columbia Pictures, Lytess was shown Monroe's screen test and convinced the head of Columbia Pictures to hire Monroe for a six-month contract. Lytess coached Marilyn through more than 20 films before their partnership began to deteriorate. Lytess is rumored to have had more than professional feelings towards Monroe which developed, according to Monroe and other actresses that studied under Lytess, into an overbearing obsession. In 1956, Monroe sent Lytess a telegram saying that she did not require Natasha's services anymore, and the partnership ended a full seven years after it started.
Lytess died of cancer four days before her 52nd birthday in Zurich, Switzerland. She was portrayed by Lindsay Crouse in Norma Jean & Marilyn, and by Embeth Davidtz in The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.

All of the scripts that we own are original and we do not buy or sell any reproductions or fakes. A lot of people, new to collecting, are confused about the word "Original." In terms of movie scripts, the term "Original" means that it was used by the production company in the early stages of production or that it was issued out to the cast and crew members during filming, and used at the time of production. Any scripts printed or used in any fashion after filming has completed are known as either a reproduction or a post-production script. These two types of scripts are much less valuable and desirable. All of our scripts are "Original."
• An original movie script has a lot of character in the item itself and every one of them is different in some way or another. There is usually only one script given to each crew member during production, however, sometimes they do get more than one. This makes original movie scripts very desirable because of how scarce they are. Any changes made to the screenplay during production are known as revisions and these revision pages are inserted into that one script that was issued out to them. For example, if we are talking about a low-budget film with a small cast and only a few crew members, there are actually only a small number of scripts in existence around the world for that film. This aspect of collecting makes it fun but also difficult because there may be a certain writer or director that you love to collect and there may only be a handful of movie scripts that still exist from that specific film that you are looking for. We have some of the rarest movie scripts in the world.
Each film project has a different total number of scripts that are issued. The older a film is you also have to figure in the fact that a lot of the original movie scripts have been thrown out or destroyed over time. We do our best to provide the widest selection of original movie scripts in the world. Whatever actor, producer, director, writer or specific film department you are looking for, we probably have a movie script related to the person you are looking for in some form or fashion. We are constantly adding new movie scripts to our eBay store as often as we can. Please, be patient and really go through all of the listings that we have, and I am sure that you will find something that you love. I know that there are a lot of items to search through, but there is definitely something for you.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. When searching for an item in our eBay store, you can either search the "title of the movie" or the "writer's name" from that movie for best results. Furthermore, there is a small box that says "Include Description" which is underneath of the large eBay search box. Once you check off this little box it will allow you to search for a specific word that is contained in any of our listings' actual description.
